Post Conference Tours

All tours depart from and return back to the Prague Congress Centre. Participants are advised to block the seats on the respective tour in advance. Tickets can be picked up or purchased at the Tourist Programme counter in the registration area of the Conference at the PCC.

Tours will be organized by the minimum participation of 15 persons.

Prices are in EUR per person.

Southern BohemiaGo to the schedule
Duration: 2 days / 1 night České Budějovice
Description: This tour will take you to one of the most charming parts of the country with beautiful countryside, picturesque fishponds and numerous historical sights.

First day:
Morning departure from Prague to Hluboká Chateau, built in the Tudor Gothic style and housing fascinating collections of furniture, tapestries, china, paintings and weapons. Tour then continues to the South Bohemian metropolis of České Budějovice - a medieval town famous for its Budweiser beer. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you visit the ancient town of Český Krumlov, which is second in the UNESCO list of most important protected historical towns thanks to its preserved historical centre. You will also visit Český Krumlov castle - the largest castle in Bohemia after Prague Castle - with its unique open air theatre with revolving auditorium in the park surrounding the castle. There will be a traditional dinner served at the local restaurant. Overnight at **** hotel.

Second day:
After breakfast the excursion continues to the town of Třeboň - a protected historical town with preserved parts of fortification, a large chateau and a spa, famous for the treatment of rheumatism and diseases of the nervous system (using peat from deposits in the town´s vicinity). You carry on - passing on the way the largest Czech pond "Rožmberk" with the area of 490 ha - to the fairy-tale Castle of Červená Lhota, built on a rocky outcrop in the middle of a lake. Lunch will be served in a nearby folk style restaurant. Depart for Prague.

Bohemian ParadiseGo to the schedule
Duration: 2 days / 1 night
Description: This tour will get you acquinted with the romantic part of the North-Eastern Bohemia which has been called for its numerous natural and historical sights the Bohemian Paradise.

First day:
Morning departure to Sychrov Chateau where you can find a fine display of antique furniture and rich collections of weapons. You will visit the chateau and enjoy the walk through the English garden surrounding the building. Lunch at the chateau restaurant. The tour continues to Trosky - the ruins of medieval castle, a typical dominant feature of the whole region. This visit will be followed by a short hike from Hruba Skala to Sedmihorky Spa - passing through the fascinating sand stone formations with breathtaking views of the surrounging area.
Overnight at *** hotel

Second day:
After breakfast at hotel you will visit the Museum of Bohemian Paradise offering a nice display and shopping possibilities of the typical Czech semi-precious stones used for the production of well-known garnet jewellery. Then the departure by bus to Dlaskuv statek (Dlask-farm) - an open air museum, a nice example of the life on the farm in the 19th century. After that the tour continues via Železny Brod (stop at the glass shop) to Jizerske Mountains, lunch at Bramberk. In the afternoon visit to the original 19th century glassworks specialized in production of glass beads.
Departure for Prague.
